Julia Staples was born in Philadelphia, PA, USA in 1979. Her personal photographs focus on the suburban and urban life in Philadelphia and Iceland. Staples is a recipient of both a Fulbright Fellowship and the American Scandinavian Foundation Fellowship both for her projects in Iceland.
